University Graduation time!🎓🎉

On Tuesday 15/9/26, Sophie and Poppy Graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Degree! The graduation ceremony took place in the beautiful St Alban's Cathedral.


Sophie's words:

"I first graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree. This degree specialised in assessing, diagnosing and treating muscle, joint, bone and nerve injuries. Throughout my career I have always been fascinated by brain injuries such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson's, as well as pelvic health conditions (what a contrast!). I just love learning and have a huge passion for the human body.


In 2022 I made the bold decision to apply to the degree programme and was accepted. I started the Physio degree in September 2023 and completed it in May 2026. The full-time degree lasted three years and included 1,000 hours of compulsory work within the NHS. 


I am now proud to hold a First Class Degree in Physiotherapy! I also won two awards! A University prize and the PJE Scholarship - super grateful!


Returning to University as a mature student was scary, daunting and exciting. I sacrificed a lot to complete it, but I succeeded! Not only that, I met Poppy - a beautiful soul, a talented female footballer for Watford FC and now a First Class Physiotherapist who is working alongside me at SV Sports Therapy.


Now what's in store? It's all systems go here at SV Sports Therapy! It's been simply wonderful to be back full time in the clinic serving our amazing clients, some of whom I've been serving for well over 15 years now! I am truly grateful for their trust in me and the team and for their loyalty!

There are lots of exciting plans ahead and I'm buzzing for the future - bring it on!"
