This Privacy Policy provides information on how SV Sports Therapy and the SV therapists responsible for your treatment may collect personal data from you and how that data is stored and used.

 

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Personal data is information relating to an identified person such as name, age, address, date of birth, gender and contact details.

Personal data may contain data known as ‘sensitive’ data, eg data relating to their past and present health.

We will only collect required and relevant personal data. Details of your current and past physical and mental well being will be collected as this provides the therapist sufficient information to give you the best possible care.

When is data collected and what is collected?

 

Data will be collected from you when you begin to use our SV Sports Therapy services for:

 

  • Enquiries about your injury or condition

  • Appointment enquiry made via email/ phone/ SMS/ face-to-face

  • A face-to-face appointment at one of our sports injury clinic locations or events

How does SV Sports Therapy contact you?

We contact you via email, telephone call or SMS. This will be with regards to:

 

  • Booking, cancelling or rescheduling  an appointment

  • Follow up after care about your wellbeing

  • Sending you newsletters that you have subscribed to

 

How is your data used?

 

Your data will be used for the following purposes:

 

  • Providing you with healthcare

  • If queries/complaints are made

  • Providing your GP or external Health Professional referral with sufficient information about your healthcare

How is your data shared?

Data will be shared internally with all SV therapists who you are treated by. We only share your personal data to third parties such as your GP/external Health Professional referral once we have asked and successfully obtained your verbal/ written consent to do so.


How long is your data stored?

​

To comply with medical obligations and The Society of Sports Therapists regulations we have a legal duty to store your personal data for 7 years after your treatment has ended.
