Le Tour de France Femmes set off on 26/7 and our lovely client Laura is taking on 9 back to back stages - You got this girl!
Here's a few words from Laura herself, please donate if you can to this amazing cause, links below:
"Hi, I'm Lala and I headed out to France at the end of July to take on a very special, exciting challenge. To ride all nine stages of the Women's Tour de France, just one day ahead of the professionals riders.
The Route 2025 is the longest women's tour route to date with the 9 back-to-back stages designed to put the very best cyclists in the world to the test. The distance is not too bad, coming in at just over 700 miles but, as someone who took up riding in the flat county of Essex, the elevation gain of over 56,000 feet is going to really push me.
I have been training really hard too, up to 20 hours a week which has taken a lot of commitment with work too.
I'm part of a small, global, all female team of just 12. Until recently we numbered 14 but we have already lost 2 riders to injury! Thankfully, I have Sophie looking out for me and making sure I stay injury free!

This epic journey isn’t just about pushing physical limits—it’s about making a difference.
We are fundraising for @cureleukaemia, the official UK charity partner of the Women’s Tour de France.
Blood cancer is the most common cancer in children and teenagers and, in the UK, four children are diagnosed every single day. We are specifically raising funds for the revolutionary ATICUS network, launched in September 2024, a dedicated paediatric trials network which will deliver world-class, innovative clinical trials to improve outcomes for children with blood cancer undergoing a stem cell transplant throughout the UK. The money we raise will directly contribute and give hope to thousands of children and their families.
If you'd like to donate, you can via my JustGiving page and you can follow our journey on instagram via @theroute_cl or my personal page @lala_in_lycra."
