SV attends final race in the Orion Harriers' Forest Five series

On Saturday 5 August 2017, the final race of the Orion Harriers' Forest Five series saw more than 300 runners from a number of clubs battle it out across 5 miles of glorious forest terrain.

The Orion Harriers always push the boundaries when it comes to putting on fantastic race events, and the final race of the Forest Five series was no exception.

First place (and the series win) went to Joe Dale for the men and Jennifer Ansell for the women.

Additional first place positions went to Tracey Carro Noya as the W35 series winner; Colin Read for M40; Neil Swift for the M50; Pippa Dowswell for W45; Bill Bennett for the M60; and Karen Allworthy for the W55.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. As well as the usual presentation of awards, the Orion social secretary, the fantastic Angie Flight, organised a TV for the clubhouse so that everyone could keep track of the athletics, a barbeque so that everyone could refuel and a bouncy castle so that the kids (cough cough) could burn off a little energy too.

SV Sports Therapy is always proud to be associated with the Orion Harriers and to take part in their events however we can, and it’s races like these that demonstrate why!

We’d like to say a massive well done to all that took part in the race, as well as the series as a whole!
