Are you a Triathlete? Have you recently competed?

Did you recover correctly ready for your next training block?

Be kind to your body
Be kind to your body

How to recover in the week following a Triathlon

  • Use this week to recover and rest when you need to

  • Keep your hydration, electrolytes and protein high

  • Lots of stretching, yoga and use of a foam roller to loosen tightness in the muscles

  • Book in for a maintenance post-race sports massage

  • Be kind to yourself

Assess how your body is feeling after you have recovered for a few days

Assess your own body mechanics to check all is in working order. Do you have any niggles or past injuries that may affect your performance going forwards?

Don't leave it too long to get checked incase it manifests into a show-stopping injury, especially if you have another training block coming up.

Do you know the benefits of Sports Massage?  Maintenance sports massages are a must especially for the demands of a Triathlon!

Give yourself a regular 'MOT' to preserve your body, so it is fit and ready to take on every race you want to and not based on how your body feels.

It is super important to prepare the body - Our bodies need regular maintenance just like cars, in fact we need MORE!
