Many athletes use CrossFit for overall fitness and then use it as a base to prepare for HYROX races and events - especially for functional strength and varied conditioning.
What is CrossFit?
Crossfit is a general body workout for overall fitness. It combines weights, cardio, gymnastics, strength training and varied conditioning. No workout is the same, keeping your body on it's toes! There is a real sense of community and support from members.
What is Hyrox?
Hyrox is a structured race event that is sponsored/ branded. It is a competitive event that is fixed in format. It enables its competitors to gain world wide global time ranking. It concentrates on functional strength & endurance throughout and is typically individual races.

What's the purpose of Prehab (maintain)?
To keep an athlete healthy, functional and performing well and to prevent injury or recurrence.
We'd love to invite you to our Clinic for a Prehab (preventative) assessment, designed CrossFit/ Hyrox Athletes of all levels.
Whether you train Crossfit and/or compete in Hyrox events. You need to be mentally and physically prepared. We can help by looking at your posture, core strength and any imbalances that may affect you through a simple assessment.

What does an assessment involve?
A full assessment of your body mechanics that encorporate CrossFit/ Hyrox.
Identification of any imbalances or areas for improvement, such as:
Lower back
Shoulders
Elbows and wrists
Hips, knees and ankles
A bespoke treatment plan, combining hands-on manual therapy with corrective and performance-based exercises
Review of any previous injuries, niggles or ongoing conditions that may affect your performance

What's the purpose of Rehab?
To restore function after an injury or surgery and safely return the athlete to sport.

Shoulder / rotator cuff injuries – Broomstick walk backs
Achilles tendinopathy – Isometric calf holds (soleus & gastrocnemius, bilateral and single-leg)
Ankle sprains – Knee-to-wall mobility variations
Knee pain – Single-leg Poliquin and Peterson exercises
Hip pain – Broomstick side bends & Weighted hip hiking
Lower back pain – Broomstick side bends
