Sophie and Annabel were delighted to attend a two-day Level 2 mat work Pilates course, run by APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute), on 21 and 22 September.

They are currently midway through their Pilates instructor training which consists of three levels followed by a practical and theory exam.

Once they complete and pass this course, which takes one to two years, they will be fully accredited APPI instructors.

Sophie and Annabel can continue to enhance their Pilates skills by teaching SV clients rehab-specific Pilates exercises on a 1-to-1 basis in clinic.

These exercises are fantastic for people suffering from:

  • chronic lower back pain

  • post operative rehabilitation of the spine - disc surgery, nerve surgery, spinal fusion

  • arthritis in the shoulder, knee, hip, ankle, elbow and spine

Pilates exercises are safe, controlled and fun, and are great for general strengthening of the body to improve movement! You will definitely see an improvement of movement and strength after only a few sessions.

Watch this space! Sophie and Annabel will soon be introducing Movement Pilates Classes - maximum 6 people per class for specific tailored exercises for you.
