Harlow RUFC: 2018-2019 - End of season review

Harlow RUFC

The first season at Harlow Rugby Club for SV Sports Therapy has now all but finished.

It was a new year for many, with Tom Hughes and Scott Kennedy coming in as new coaches; Nicole and Fleur representing SV Sports Therapy for treatment and pitch-side first aid; and lots of new faces in the men's 1st XV.

It was a tough year ending with the men's Harlow 1st XV being relegated into the London 3 League. But this year was a building year, on all fronts, so next year the team are hoping to bounce straight back up.

On the SV front, it was a busy season, implementing a new set up for the players treatment and rehabilitation. The players welcomed the new format and the SV team with open arms.

Overall, injuries for the season were minimal.

A lot of the season was about educating players on how to look after themselves and preventing injury. We had some injuries along the way, with only one player ending in a full season out injured.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who has welcomed us to the team: Paul Tucker and Stuart Harriss in the management team; Tom Hughes, Scott Kennedy and Michael Weston in the coaching team; and all the players.

We are looking forward to working with everyone in the 2019/2020 season, and helping the team bounce back into the London 2 League.
