Our lovely Jess will be leaving SV Sports Therapy in August to return to Canada.
Here's her farewell speech.
Warning: it made us blub!
It is with mixed emotions that I write a farewell to the SV family. As many of you know, I will be moving back to Canada as the allotted time of my visa comes to an end this August. My other half, Kody, and I have made the decision to move back to Canada to be closer to our families and continue on to our next adventure.
It is difficult to put my feelings into words at this time as I have a whirlwind of emotions when I think about the past couple of years, but here it goes...
Working at SV Sports Therapy for the past two years has been so much more than a job for me. My time here has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people, expand my skills as a therapist, take on several personal challenges and career opportunities, and best of all develop lasting friendships.
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work in SV’s Loughton clinic, based out of Casablanca. While many of you know the busy car park and steady stream of kids flowing in and out of the gym, this has become my work home. I would like to thank Casablanca for being so welcoming to me and for creating such a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I will miss the Casablanca buzz!
To all of my wonderful clients, I cannot thank you enough. You all welcomed me with open arms when I first moved here. I have truly treasured every moment that I’ve had with each of you, whether it was in the clinic or at events. I tell all of my colleagues back in Canada that I have the best clientele a therapist could wish for and I sincerely mean that. You are all wonderful people and I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to do the job I love.
Many of you may not know of Liz, SV’s social media and website person, but wow has she made my life A LOT easier! Liz you are a wonderful, cheerful person with a beautiful personality. Thank you so much for helping me over the past couple of years to navigate the ways of the online world. I may just be contacting you from Canada!
To our new therapist Annabel, I am so excited for you to be part of SV. In the short time of knowing you, I can tell that you have a plethora of knowledge to share with our clients and that you will be a wonderful addition to the SV team.
Last, but certainly not least, Sophie. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! Thank you for taking a chance on the girl from Canada! Thank you for trusting me with your clients and helping to keep SV ticking along whilst you were away on your sabbatical.
The support you have shown me, whether you were across the world in Australia or just down the road in Harlow, has been incredible.
You are a wonderful, knowledgeable, highly skilled therapist who cares so much about your clients. My only sadness is that we did not get to work together longer.
To my entire SV family, you will always have a friend in Canada! I wish you all the best and hope that this is not goodbye, but a see you later.
Love always, Jess
