Decent weather, great organisation, epic talent, free sports therapy treatments (ahem…), fantastic crowds, thunderous applause, delicious food... What more could you ask for from such a spectacular race event…? Oh yes, there was also a bar!

Jess and Chris from SV Sports Therapy were on hand to offer advice and treatments to participants at the recent Orion Harriers' event, as well as cheer them on as they stormed towards glory.
This event is always a favourite on the race calendar and this year surpassed even the loftiest of expectations!
With 116 runners competing in 5 and 10km races throughout the evening, a total of 68%... yes 68%... of entrants set new PBs!
Times from 14:45 for 5km and 30:17 for 10km demonstrate the truly superhuman calibre of the runners at this event.
Spectators were in for a treat with race after race of fantastic running and heated battles, and were certainly prepared to show their appreciation by shouting, clapping and whooping each runner to a spectacular finish.
We’d like to give a special shout out to Orion member and SV sponsored athlete, George Day, who ran a spectacular and heated 10km race to finish with a fantastic time of 33:48, and a 1st place position. Well done, George! Click here to watch George's finish!
